Cedrus Atlantica (Cedarwood)

History of Cedarwood

Throughout antiquity, cedarwood has been used in medicines. The Egyptians used it for embalming the dead. It was used as both a traditional medicine and incense in Tibet. 

Plant Origin

Morocco, USA. Cedrus atlantica is the species most closely related to the biblical Cedars of Lebanon. 

Production The bark is steam distilled
